Gov Dodge Equestrians Raffle

In August of 2018, the Friends of Governor Dodge State Park Equestrian committee was presented with an amazing offer and a giant challenge: raise $25,000 by year’s end for the new equestrian campground at Governor Dodge and receive a dollar for dollar match.  Community members and horse enthusiasts from all around the state truly rose to the challenge, giving more than $29,500 in match-eligible funds.  Thanks to the generosity of the match donors and the resounding support of the community, the campground fund has grown by almost $55,000!

Even with the recent success, the Friends still have much to do to raise the estimated $650,000 needed for project construction. The group’s next fundraiser is a raffle, with prize drawing on Sunday, April 14 at the Midwest Horse Fair.  With an array of great prizes, the group hopes to net $25,000 from the raffle.  Top prizes include a Ruby’s Grand Adventure Ride for TWO in Bryce Canyon, Utah valued at $2,800 and a gorgeous 2.69 carat blue topaz ring valued at $1,695 donated by Condon Jewelers of Madison.   Raffle ticket purchase information can be found at
