  • Vehicle Admission Sticker is REQUIRED. When the park office is closed, daily or annual park stickers may be purchased at the self-registration station.
  • Bathrooms are OPEN.
  • Camping is available. ALL campsites are reservable.

Gov Dodge Equestrians Raffle

In August of 2018, the Friends of Governor Dodge State Park Equestrian committee was presented with an amazing offer and a giant challenge: raise $25,000 by year’s end for the new equestrian campground at Governor Dodge and receive a dollar for dollar match.  Community members and horse enthusiasts from all around the state truly rose to the challenge, giving more than $29,500 in match-eligible funds.  Thanks to the generosity of the match donors and the resounding support of the community, the campground fund has grown by almost $55,000!

Even with the recent success, the Friends still have much to do to raise the estimated $650,000 needed for project construction. The group’s next fundraiser is a raffle, with prize drawing on Sunday, April 14 at the Midwest Horse Fair.  With an array of great prizes, the group hopes to net $25,000 from the raffle.  Top prizes include a Ruby’s Grand Adventure Ride for TWO in Bryce Canyon, Utah valued at $2,800 and a gorgeous 2.69 carat blue topaz ring valued at $1,695 donated by Condon Jewelers of Madison.   Raffle ticket purchase information can be found at
