Whooping Cranes

8:00 PM – Whooping Cranes were brought back from the brink of extinction
after their population was reduced to only 21 individuals in the
1940's. Today, an Eastern Migratory Population of Whooping Cranes
nests in Wisconsin, but has not yet become a secure, self-sustaining
population. Join Liz Anderson from The International Crane
Foundation for a presentation and fun activities to explore the
successes and challenges of the Whooping Crane's road to recovery,
and learn about ongoing research to find conservation solutions for
this iconic species.
