us for a short presentation about these fascinating – and
disappearing – insects. Afterwards we will have jars available for
kids to catch fireflies and get a look at them up close. Or, just
kick back and enjoy watching them light up the night.

8:00 pm – Wild rice is a plant of great cultural and ecological
importance in Wisconsin, but today few people know of its
significance. Join Ranger Adam for a presentation about Wild Rice
Harvesting in Wisconsin, and learn about its history, where to find
it, how to harvest it, and how to cook it. Attendees will get a
small sample to cook at their campsite or at home.
